CP Rochester
CP Rochester exists to support people with physical and developmental disabilities in choosing and accomplishing successive individualized life goals. We do this by providing a wide range of services to people of all ages in the greater Rochester area. Our purpose is to ensure that those we serve safely determine their own pathways in life and live as full members of their communities.
Cerebral Palsy Association of the Rochester Area has evolved from supporting children with cerebral palsy to become a network of services for people of all ages from infancy through the senior years with a wide variety of physical disabilities.
Our goal was to find a new name for our 60-year-old agency that would preserve its solid reputation, tradition of excellence and reflect our ever-expanding continuum of service to those with physical disabilities
It took six months and hundreds of questionnaires, surveys, meetings and workshops involving people connected with the agency to find ourselves still solidly engaged in "ensuring that those we serve safely determine their own pathways in life and live as full members of their communities".
The chosen name, CP Rochester, reflects who the agency is as well as the heart of the community it serves. The "tag line" captures the essential part of our mission - Connecting People with Physical Disabilities to Community. The new logo represents successful outcomes through connections to community.
