First Step Achievements

First Step Achievements is dedicated to serving you and your child's specific needs by working closely with parents and caregivers. Our therapists provide optimal care through skilled, hands-on approach. We customize each child's program with a unique selection of modalities including the Universal Exercise Unit, TheraSuit, Litegait treadmill, and gross and fine motor developmental activities. Our therapy approach is reinforced by our select training in neuro-developmental treatment, sensory integration, motor control and motor learning, and fitness and strength training models.

In Order to tailor each program to your child's needs, we recognize that the traditional 45-minute session may not be enough. That is why we offer a unique program consisting of 20 hours of therapy per week, 4 hours per day, for 3 weeks. This allows your child the time to build strength and endurance, create new postural control, improve balance and coordination, and ultimately build a new foundation for improved function in development.

How Our Pediatric Intensive Therapy Program Works:
We offer a unique program combining physical and occupational therapy services for 4 hours a day, five days a week, for three weeks (60 hours). Our intensive therapy sessions are scheduled quarterly where your child works one-on-one with the therapy team. The intensive therapy model also includes exercise and strength training and use of the TheraSuit and Universal Exercise Unit to improve skill to the next developmental level.
